Chapter 1. Introduction to Electrical and Electronic Circuits

This book is organized into nine chapters. This goals of this introductory chapter  are to:

  • introduce this electronic textbook (ebook), describe the pedagogical approach, and set the tone for learning;
  • motivate non-electrical engineers (EE’s) to study and learn about EE topics as a means to accomplish multidisciplinary design; and
  • motivate and describe the electronics kit used and the lab experiments to be conducted throughout the book.

After completing this chapter, you should have a better sense of electrical engineering, you should have ordered your electronics kit, and (hopefully) you should be looking forward to digging in.
