1.5 Lab 0

The purpose of Lab 0 is to familiarize yourself with your electronics kit. If you haven’t yet ordered your kit, do so now and then when it arrives do the following exercises:

Exercise 0.1 Inventory your kit and try to identify all the parts, which were listed in the previous section of this ebook.

Exercise 0.2  URLs for the data sheets are contained in the previous chapter. Skim through the data sheets for the following components:

  • Red Light Emitting Diode (LED)
  • Digital Multimeter
  • AA battery
  • Solderless breadboard
  • 100 Ohm resistor

Exercise 0.3 Start to assemble the car chassis using the components in your kit. Photos of an assembled chassis are contained on the course Canvas site.

 

What to submit:  There is nothing to turn in for Lab Zero.
